Harvester Christian Church South Campus
Our History

In The Beginning…
In January of 2005 a small church group joined Harvester Christian Church and became known as Harvester’s South Campus. Services were held in the gymnasium of John Weldon Elementary School in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. Bryan Fakes was appointed to serve as campus minister, overseeing the day to day operation of the south campus in addition to serving as Small Groups Minister at HCC Central Campus. HCC leadership created a “preaching team” consisting of Ben Merold, Bob Williams, Jonathan Goss, and Mike Merold to preach at South Campus every weekend.

Membership grew steadily and in the spring of 2005 we began looking for a more permanent location. Right next door to the elementary school we leased the first floor of an office/warehouse owned by Ives Construction. Some renovations were made to convert the warehouse to worship space. Services were first held in the new facilities in November 2005. Over time additional facility changes have been made to accomodate growth and new programs.

Continued growth brought more changes. In June of 2007 Bryan Fakes took over preaching every week and focused full time on South Campus. In addition, Bryan Heinrich, a member of the HCC student ministry staff, began serving at South Campus full-time as the Associate Minister. Bryan & Bryan moved their offices to the South Campus location at this time. Lisa Hubecky, a valuable member of the children's ministry, joined the staff during this time frame.

As the South Campus continues healthy growth in size and ministry, we are considering how to acquire more space for classes and ministry in the community.
